As part of our West Coast adventure, my boyfriend and I paid a visit to Yosemite National Park. In addition to being avid bikers, we are avid rock climbers. Yosemite is well-known for its boulders as well as El Capitan. We didn’t need too much cycle gear to get us to the park, so we had plenty of room for our climbing shoes and ropes.
We camped out at Camp 4 which became known post-World War II as a rock climber hang-out. The first two days we spent bouldering, including scrambling on the Columbia Boulder. Later on my boyfriend climbed The Nose, one of the original climbing routes of El Capitan. I chose to hang back as my ankle was hurting, but I got some fantastic photos from the ground.
Road rash and flesh wounds can be prevented by wearing leather motorcycle chaps. Sizing can vary by manufacturer, so it is important to know your measurements. To properly size motorcycle chaps you need a pair of jeans, a tape measure, and a notepad.
Start by putting on a pair of jeans that you would normally wear for riding, as leather motorcycle chaps are meant to be worn on top of jeans. Next, measure your waist, your thigh at its largest point, and your inseam (all in inches). Note these measurements in your notepad and compare your numbers to the numbers listed by the manufacturer to determine which size chaps are best for your body.
I’ve always considered myself somewhat of a lone wolf, so a motorcycle always seemed like an appropriate personal conveyance. In the last couple of months, however, I have begun seeing someone, and they were less than enthused about the prospects of riding on the back of my bike. Conversely, I was none too excited about being seen driving around in her purple PT Cruiser.
In order to reconcile this transportation quandary, I decided to search for some motorcycle accessories to make her feel a bit more comfortable. After doing some investigating, I found a great device known as . Not only did they provide her with a comfortable armrest, but they also afforded extra support and security.
While some people scoff at wearing a helmet, anyone who has been in an accident would say that wearing a helmet is essential. The truth is that helmets save lives, even if they don’t look all that fashionable. Whether you’re riding a bicycle around the neighborhood or riding your motorcycle down the highway, a helmet is necessary for safety. Not wearing a helmet can result in not just a citation from a law enforcement official, but also extreme trauma or damage to the head. Just like wearing a seat belt is essential in a car, a helmet is essential for bikes, motorcycles, and ATVs. Motorcycle helmets are now more advanced and comfortable than their predecessors. But no matter what kind of motorized vehicle you’re using, it’s important to wear a helmet.
Despite jabs at being unfashionable, most helmet models are streamlined and aerodynamic. In addition, you can find a wealth of different helmets that feature cool decals. There’s always one to suit an individual’s style!
The past few weeks there’s been a new motorcycle insurance commercial running during various sporting events and it’s caught my attention. An unmanned motorcycle is seen crashing in slow motion and the voiceover in the background is saying something to the effect of “motorcycles never crash alone.” As a habitual motorcyclist, I have to say this advert hit pretty close to home.
I mean, even if you are covered by insurance, that’s no solace to your body during a crash. In my opinion, one of the best insurance policies for any motorcyclist is a high-quality set of motorcycle gear. Not only do a leather motorcycle jacket and motorcycle vests as well as graphically enhanced helmet look amazing, they can prevent serious damage during a spill as well.
The adrenaline rush of riding the motorcycle is just one of the aspects that make the experience unique. Riding on the back of a bike will be a memorable moment for any child. Although this heart-pounding thrill ride will be exhilarating, you want to be sure that everyone is safe.
Normal biker gear isn’t designed for children, so it is important to make sure that you have equipment that fits your child properly. Kid’s motorcycle riding jackets are an essential, not only for warmth, but also in case of a spill as well. Before you put you kid on the back of the bike, make sure you’ve taken all the measures to ensure their safety.
With all the technological advancements to cell phones of late, it seems like more than half the people on the road are using a Bluetooth headset while driving. While having a Bluetooth headset might be practical for a drive, for a motorcyclist who wears a helmet, a standard bluetooth headset can become quite uncomfortable, and in most cases is impractical at best. However, motorcyclists shouldn’t be left out of the latest technology trends, which is why the Bluetooth motorcycle helmet headset was developed. This headset is designed for use with a motorcycle helmet, and allows motorcyclists to speak on their cell phones while riding. These Bluetooth motorcycle helmet headsets are great for long trips or short trips, and are a must have for motorcyclists.
Some of the reason to own a motorcycle is to feel free from the constraints of a traditional automobile and also feel independent. But for those circumstances when you just have to have a conversation, a Bluetooth helmets motorcycle is an excellent option!
Last summer I purchased my first motorcycle, and it has not only been a thrill for me but for my entire family. At first my wife was little hesitant to hop on the back-now she begs me to take her for rides. Our oldest son also is constantly hounding me to take him for leisure trips as well.
Although I am more than comfortable on my motorcycle, I was reluctant to let me oldest heir on. After some contemplation, my wife and I decided that it would be ok. Of course we took all of the necessary precautions, like by him a well-fit helmet and his own kids motor cycle riding gear.
When riding a bike, it is important that you keep yourself protected from the dust and grime. You must wear protective clothing gear, such as women’s motorcycle chaps, to prevent dust, grime, and sand from accumulating on your clothes, particularly your pants. It also protects you from the cold weather. In addition, a pair of chaps can also be an added protection in cases of motorcycle falls.
Most chaps are made of leather. Leather is a versatile material and is very durable. That is why it is quite popular in motorcycle outfits. Some chaps are made with the combination of leather and spandex for a more comfortable fit. Other protective gears that a bike rider must have are, of course, a durable helmet, a pair of gloves, and a jacket make for essential cyclegear.
When I first started riding motorcycles in the late ’70s, I was really only concerned about looking cool. This may sound conceited, but it was the truth. I never wore a helmet, rode without even a t-shirt on and performed dangerous maneuvers. Luckily I was never involved in an accident, and now I’ve learned to tone down my devil may care lifestyle.
Now that I’m a grandpa, I know I need to be a responsible role model for the little tikes. Although I still ride my hog wherever I go, now I have a full supply of motorcycle safety gear. It certainly took some getting used to, but with the amazing innovations in unique motorcycle helmets and other protective equipment, I’m more comfortable on the back of the bike than I’ve ever been before.
