The Grand Canyon was high on my list of “places I must see before I die.” This past spring, I finally checked the Grand Canyon off my list. I took a week long motorcycle road trip to northern Arizona with a few of my close friends. It only cost us $12 apiece for seven-day passes. The sights we saw were worth every penny.

When we had gotten our fill of the natural wonder, we threw on our motorcycle gear and made for historic Route 66. With my leather motorcycle vest and old school goggles I felt like I had traveled back in time- especially when we got to the original two lane sections of the highway. The nostalgia continued at the charming 1950s era Wigwam Motel in Holbrook, where we spent the night.

The past few weeks there’s been a new motorcycle insurance commercial running during various sporting events and it’s caught my attention. An unmanned motorcycle is seen crashing in slow motion and the voiceover in the background is saying something to the effect of “motorcycles never crash alone.” As a habitual motorcyclist, I have to say this advert hit pretty close to home.

I mean, even if you are covered by insurance, that’s no solace to your body during a crash. In my opinion, one of the best insurance policies for any motorcyclist is a high-quality set of motorcycle gear. Not only do a leather motorcycle jacket and motorcycle vests as well as graphically enhanced helmet look amazing, they can prevent serious damage during a spill as well.

In the world of fashion, few things make quite as bold a statement as leather. A heavy and dark material, it doesn’t matter if it comes in the form of a jacket or a miniskirt. Designers have used this knowledge for years to create daring and bold looks. But if you’re looking to incorporate leather into your everyday fashion repertoire, make sure that it’s not overdone. With that bold of a look, it’s best to wear just one accent piece using the fabric.

For this reason, a men’s leather vest can be a surprisingly versatile thing to have in your closet. Not only will it prove useful if you’re ever cruising around on your motorcycle, but it will also serve as a great accent to any outfit. For a casual look, pair it with jeans. And for a more eclectic look, pair the edgy look of leather with a more formal outfit. However you wear it, leather can help you make that bold statement, so make sure your closet isn’t completely devoid of leather.

Women like to look fashionable. It doesn’t matter what project or activity that they are doing. If you’re a tom boy or a high fashionista, you are always conscience of what you look like. Styles come and go over the years.

One of the styles that have not gone anywhere is womens leather vests. Leather vests are not only set aside for motorcyclist. Women of all genres wear leather vests to work as well as for casual attire. You can dress vests up as well as dress them down.

One year for Halloween my son wanted to dress up as a motorcycle gang. He had talked to all his friends in partaking in the fun as well. The problem was that we were having a really interesting fall that year and it was pretty warm out still. Anything leather was going to be too hot, especially if it was a jacket.

I decided to do was get a leather motorcycle vest instead of a jacket. It was light weight and still had that motorcycle gang feel to it. The vest along with the bandana on his head, and the big boots he certainly looked the part. All the kids looked amazing.

Motorcyclists are a multi-faceted group. There are so many different sub-cultures associated with riding. One such sub-group is motorcycle riding clubs. These clubs have their own uniform of sorts called colors.

Colors refers to the motorcycle vest as well as the patches that adorn it. The vest is adorned with club-specific patches, usually located in the middle of the back. The patch or patches will display the club logo, name, and the letters MC. Sometimes patches will also identify a state, province, or other regional insignia. The colors belong to the club, not the individual, and it is considered an act of disgrace to allow colors to fall into the hands of an outsider or rival group.

Look the part of the rugged biker who’s always ready to hit the road. A leather vest is a nice addition to any biker’s wardrobe. It is very stylish such that you can also use it for an evening out aside from wearing it on the road. During the blazing summer months, a vest is a nice respite from a cumbersome jacket. Leather vests can perfectly complement just about any motorcycle wear outfit.

Look for high quality motorcycle leather vests manufactured from premium split cowhide leather, buffalo leather or goat-skin leather. These are durable fabrics that will give you years of faithful service. Not only is the exterior of the vest important, the lining is crucial as well. Make sure to pick a vest with comfortable fabric on the inside, and look for vests with removable liners for easy cleaning.
