Road rash and flesh wounds can be prevented by wearing leather motorcycle chaps. Sizing can vary by manufacturer, so it is important to know your measurements. To properly size motorcycle chaps you need a pair of jeans, a tape measure, and a notepad.

Start by putting on a pair of jeans that you would normally wear for riding, as leather motorcycle chaps are meant to be worn on top of jeans. Next, measure your waist, your thigh at its largest point, and your inseam (all in inches). Note these measurements in your notepad and compare your numbers to the numbers listed by the manufacturer to determine which size chaps are best for your body.

I’ve always considered myself somewhat of a lone wolf, so a motorcycle always seemed like an appropriate personal conveyance.
